Providing vulnerable children with access to quality education, learning support, and safe pathways back to school because every child deserves a chance to learn, grow, and thrive.
At Cheriven Empowerment Foundation, we recognize that education is the most powerful tool for breaking intergenerational cycles of poverty. Our Education & Child Development programme focuses on removing the barriers that keep Nigeria’s most vulnerable children especially out-of-school, street-connected, and at-risk girls from accessing learning.
We provide comprehensive support including full or partial scholarships, school uniforms, books, and essential learning materials. For children who have dropped out, we facilitate re-enrolment through community engagement, family mediation, and partnerships with local schools. Where formal schooling is not immediately possible, we offer alternative learning opportunities and remedial tutoring in safe, nurturing environments.
Our interventions are child-centred and trauma-informed, prioritizing not just academic progress but also emotional well-being, safety, and dignity. We work closely with caregivers, teachers, and community leaders to create protective ecosystems around each child.
Through this pillar, we aim to ensure that no child is left behind—not because they lack potential, but because they lack opportunity.
